Description

Latin Name – Cucurbita maxima

Sowing Instructions – Grow your own Halloween pumking, it’s easy, sow indoors early spring onwards into 9cm pots or as they get bigger get them used to outdoor weather (harden off) before transplanting into final position. Sowing in situ sow 2 seeds per station after last frosts, thinning to the strongest one.

Hints and Tips –  Pumpkins are a group of winter squshes, normally characterised by their vibrant orange skin. The Hallowe’en pumpkin market is as popular as ever. Relatively easy to produce, with good storage qualities. Also gaining popularity for its culinary uses.
