Ballhead. Produces round, quality ballheads that weigh approx. 1kg/2.2lbs. Heads have a short core with an excellent sweet flavour. Tolerance to alternaria and other leaf spot diseases. Holds well in the garden until required.

Description

Latin Name – Brassica oleracea capitata

Sowing Instructions – Sow outdoors, March-June, 1.5cm (½”) deep, in a seedbed or trays of seed compost. Keep moist. Transplant to their final position when plants are large enough to handle. Allow 60cm (2’) each way, between plants. Water well until established. Or, indoors, February-March, in trays or pots of seed compost. Keep moist. Hints and Tips – Plant Herb Garlic Chives among your cabbages as this has been shown to deter Cabbage Root Fly.
