What to plant?

Here are some easy and exciting things you can plant this month:
Sunflowers are like the giants of the garden! Their big, bright flowers follow the sun, and they’re super easy to grow.
 How to plant: Grab some sunflower seeds and plant them about 1 cm deep in a sunny spot. Space them about 30 cm apart so they have room to grow tall. Water them gently.
 Fun tip: Have a contest with your friends or family to see whose sunflower grows the tallest!

Crunchy carrots are fun to grow and eat. They come in cool colours like
orange, purple, and even rainbow!
 How to plant: Sow carrot seeds in loose, sandy soil (no big rocks!).
Sprinkle them in rows and cover lightly with soil. Keep the soil moist.
 Fun tip: Be patient—carrots take a few weeks to sprout, but pulling them out of the ground is like finding buried treasure!

 Nasturtium flowers are bright, colourful, and edible (yes, you can eat them!).
They’re perfect for beginners.
 How to plant: Push the seeds about 2 cm deep into the soil in a sunny or partly shady spot. Water them well.

 Fun tip: Try adding the peppery-tasting flowers to a salad for a colourful treat!

Cool Gardening Tips for Children

Weed Patrol - Weeds are sneaky plants that steal food & water from your plants. Pull them out to keep your garden happy.

Water plants giving them a gentle drink but dont drown them !

Make a bug hotel. Ladybirds and bees are your garden's best friends because they eat pests and pollinate flowers. Stack leaves, sticks & pinecones into a corner to make a cosy bug hotel.

Decorate your pots with bright coloured paints or draw fun designs on them.
